Discover The House
Sat, 16 Sep 2017 12:30
As part of a community consultation and engagement initiative, we are holding a "Discover The House" event on Saturday 16 September from 12.30 to 4.30 p.m.
This will be a really good opportunity to have a look around, chat informally with directors, staff, and other users of the house including tutors and students.
We are delighted with the response that we have had from a wide variety of current users of the House to become involved on the day and this will include a number 'taster workshops' delivered by local artists, a photographic display with a timeline capturing the history of the house, an example of how a wedding can be accommodated within the house, a display by Change Your Thinking Fitness, a tour of the Cotswold Vale Talking Newspaper (who happen to be marking 20 years at Kingshill House), vintage cars, tea, cake and much more. Representatives of the DODS will be dressed in costume and acting as "Meeters and Greeters", and this occasion will provide a perfect opportunity for us all to reflect on, and celebrate, the amazing contribution that DODS has made to Kingshill House.
If you are available and able to pop along we would be delighted to welcome you.

Dursley Fireworks 2017

Following a fantastic launch in 2016, Girlguiding Dursley District will be hosting this event again in 2017. On Saturday 4th November, the skies above Dursley will once again be ignited with colour and sound as we present the 'Dursley Fireworks 2017'.
As well as the fireworks display, there will be live entertainment as well as a BBQ, a beer tent, a tuck shop, a hot drinks and cake stall and a glow stick stall.
