It is every second Saturday between March and December, from 8.30am-1pm.

Add an extra dimension to your art by experimenting with working on textured surfaces. We will use a combination of collage and paint, starting with some simple and fun exercises on a small scale, then work towards a finished landscape composition. Watercolours, coloured inks, gouache and acrylics can be used together with other media so please ask for a materials list.

The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience of drawing or painting.

Needle Felting can be used to create 2D and 3D pieces of unique and exciting art. In this workshop you can choose to experiment in one or the other style to create a small piece of your own. Helen will guide you through the techniques needed and explain all about the different tools you may need. If you have a particular project in mind, please let us know and we will put you in touch with Helen. Helen will bring lots of examples along to the class for you to examine and use as inspiration.

Stained Glass Garden Ladder Workshop

Make a stunning glass ladder for your garden using the vibrant colours of stained glass. No experience is necessary as you will be guided through the various stages including glass cutting, leading, soldering and etching to complete your ladder on the day.

The materials cost will be £30 on the day to include glass, lead, zinc and steel to make a finished ladder standing about 60cm from the ground - total height approx 75cm and width 12cm. Etching, fluid, stencils and all necessary tools and equipment are provided by the tutor.

Caroline Lambert is a very experienced tutor who divides her time between teaching adults and children and as a practising glass artist. Learn how to design, cut and print your own original lino blocks onto fabric. Using easy to cut lino, you will make blocks that you can take home and use again and again on fabric or paper. Tea towel or bag supplied to print on, or bring your own washed cotton fabric. You will also be able to buy blank cotton cushion covers.
