Winter Weather: Thank You

Winter Weather: Thank You

The Town Council would like to thank all the local residents who cleared snow, spread salt to help make paths and roads more accessible in the recent period of snow and ice.

It was great to see the community get together with offers of help to look after vulnerable people and offering uses of 4x4 vehicles.

The majority of people heeded the advice not to travel unless it was essential and this greatly aided the emergency services and the County Highway teams.

The Town Council are aware of the problem with grit bins not being re-stocked since the wintry period in December and will take this up with Gloucestershire County Council.

Hopefully Spring is now on the way and we can look forward to warmer and drier period of weather.

Thanks to Cllr Adrian Whitwell who supplied the aerial photograph of the Kingshill area of the town.
