Annual Meetings in May 2018

Annual Meetings in May 2018

The Town Council will soon be hosting the Annual Town Council meeting and the Annual Assembly of the Town.

The Annual Town Council meeting is effectively the Town Council's AGM; the agenda includes the appointment of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the next 12 months and as well as the normal Council business. Also to be confirmed is the membership of the Council's Committees, Working Groups and Council's representatives for other organisations.

This meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 8th May in the Community Room, Dursley Fire Station, Kingshill Road.

The Annual Assembly is a "meeting of the town" which is facilitated by the Town Council. This year's guest speaker is Mr David Hagg, Chief Executive of Stroud District Council.

This meeting provides the residents of the town the opportunity to raise matters of concern with the Mayor and Councillors from the Town, Stroud District and Gloucestershire County Council's.

Annual Reports from the Town Council and many of the Town's voluntary organisations will be available.

The winners of the 2018 Leslie D Gale awards will be announced by the Mayor.

This meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 22nd May at the Chantry Centre, Long Street, Dursley. Refreshments will be available after the meeting.

Both meetings are open to the public and we would welcome your attendance.

The agenda for the meetings will be available three full working days prior to the meetings on the Council's website and on Council notice boards.
