PCSO Oli Clark
Dursley Town Council and members from Dursley Business Inclusive joined together last night (Thursday) to say thank-you to one of our longest serving Police Community Support Officers, Oli Clarke.
Oli has spent 5 years based in the Dursley Neighbourhood Police team and is moving on to the next step in his career with Gloucestershire Constabulary by starting a 18 week initial training programme to become a Police Constable.
Oli said "Although very sad to be leaving an area I have enjoyed working in so much, I am very excited for the new challenges I will face in my new role".
Cllr Mandy Woodward in her first official duty as the new Deputy Mayor thanked Oli for his service to Dursley by presenting him with a Town Council shield, signed cards and a Superman cape specially made by Caroline Marrow.
Cllr Woodward said "We are sorry to see Oli leave Dursley as he has been very supportive to the residents and businesses of the town. I hope that in the not too distant future Oli is able to return to the Dursley Neighbourhood team as a Police Constable."
The Dursley Neighbourhood team has been bolstered by two new PCSO's, both experienced in the job having recently worked in the Stroud and Wotton-Under-Edge area and covering Dursley in recent months. They are PCSO Mike Lifton and PCSO Charlotte King.
The Town Council would like to welcome them both to Dursley and look forward to continuing our excellent close working relationship with the Dursley Neighbourhood Police team.
