Playgrounds and Gym Equipment to Re-open on 21st December

Dursley Town Council has agreed to re-open the play areas and gym equipment at the War Memorial Recreation Ground, Kingshill and Highfields Play Areas. This includes the BMX track at Highfields.

This decision has been taken due to a drop in Covid-19 infection rates in the local area. We have also listened to the comments received from many regular users of the facilities and taken further advice on the risks to play ground users.

The play ground will not be cleaned or sanitized, but will continue to be regularly inspected. All users are requested to socially distance at all times, regularly sanitize their (and children's) hands.

If the play areas are busy then we advise that you come back at a quieter time.

The status of the play areas will continue to be regularly reviewed and the Council reserve the right to close play areas if conditions change or there is any evidence of users not respecting the social distance advice.
