St Mark's Burial Ground, Woodmancote, Dursley

Dursley Town Council maintain the Burial Ground at St Mark's on behalf of the Church under Section 215 of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Burial Ground dates back to the mid 1800's and there are a number of graves which have metal surrounds incorporating metal spikes which have deteriorated over time.

The Council has submitted a faculty application to the Diocese of Gloucester requesting permission to remove some metal memorial surrounds and undertake some work to make safe a small number of memorials.

If you wish to object to any works or proposals you should send a letter or email stating the grounds of your objection to The Diocesan Registrar, Veale Wasbrough Vizards LLP, Narrow Quay House, Narrow Quay, Bristol BS1 4QA (ref:TAH/SLO/2GL10/1032) or faculties@vwv.co.uk so that it reaches the Registrar not later than 19th March 2021. A letter of objection must include your name and address and state whether you live in the parish and/or your name is entered on the church electoral roll of the parish or any other basis on which you have an interest in the matter.
