At 11:02am this morning following the traditional two minute silence, two wreaths were laid at the World War II memorial at the War Memorial Recreation Ground to commemorate Remembrance Day.

The wreaths were laid by the Mayor Symon Ackroyd and Jeff Evans, Chairman of the Cam & Dursley Royal British Legion.

On Remembrance Sunday, the traditional Remembrance Day Parade will commence from 14:30 at the Bus Station, May Lane, Dursley.

The Schedule is:

14.30 Parade leaves the bus station and marches via May Lane, Castle Street and Silver Street. Parade stops in Silver Street outside St James' Church, about turns and marches into Long Street.

15.00 Service starts at the Memorial Gates outside St James' Church

Between 15.30 - 15.45 Service ends and wreath laying party assembles in front of War Memorial Gates for Act of Remembrance.

Between 15.45 - 16.00 Parade reforms in Long Street and dismisses.
