The Queen’s Green Canopy Planting Ceremonies
As part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations the Gloucestershire Constabulary and OPCC are delighted to be taking part in the Queen's Green Canopy tree planting initiative. Seven trees of varying types will be planted across the estate all of which have been carefully chosen and locally sourced from garden centres and nurseries.
The trees will be planted at Gloucestershire Constabulary Headquarters, the Sabrina Centre, Barton Street, Holland House, Cirencester, Coleford and Dursley.
Gloucestershire Constabulary are planting the trees for the wellbeing of all personnel and to enhance our outdoor spaces. We will also be marking our trees with a special commemorative plaque that will be placed next to the tree.
With a focus on planting trees sustainably, the Queen's Green Canopy will create a legacy to honour the Queen's reign and benefit future generations in our county and country.
The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Mandy Woodward represented Dursley Town Council at the recent tree planting at Dursley Police Station.
