Remembrance Sunday in Dursley

Remembrance Sunday in Dursley

A very healthy turnout by local residents watched the traditional Remembrance Parade marching from May Lane to St James's Church on Sunday afternoon.

For the first time in several years due to Covid restrictions the service of remembrance was held in the church. This was followed by the traditional laying of the wreaths at the War Memorial Gates.

Wreaths were laid by Siobhan Baillie MP, the Mayor Cllr Symon and Ackroyd, members of the armed services, local councils, local organisations, the police and young members of the local Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Beavers and Cub groups.
