Kingshill Play Park upgrade work to start on 16th January 2023 & more play area investment on the way!

The playground contractor HAGS will be arriving at Kingshill Play Park on 16th January to replace the wooden climbing frame and toddler unit.

The work was agreed at our October 2022 Green Spaces Committee meeting. Unfortunately, the wooden play equipment items have reached the end of their life and need to be removed.

In their place HAGS will install a new 'Angel Cascade' climbing unit and 'Ganymede' toddler unit.
The work is expected to take just over a week and access to the play equipment area will be disrupted during this time. We hope to keep disruption to a minimum.

We are very pleased that two Stroud District Council owned play areas in Dursley have been identified for investment.

The play areas at Cambridge Avenue and Acacia Drive are two of the five identified in the district for re-vamp plans using the £300,000 Contain Outbreak Management Fund (COMF) funding.

Stroud District Council are working with Kompan on the plans and are inviting residents along to the following drop in consultation events locally, to find out more and share views:

The drop-in session for Cambridge Avenue will be held at Dursley C of E Primary Academy, Dursley on 19th January 2023, 3:30pm-5pm.

The drop-in session for Acacia Drive Play Area, will be held on site at Acacia Drive, Dursley on 31st January 2023, 3:30pm- 5pm.
