Scam Warning: Phishing emails using Dursley Town Council.

Unfortunately we often receive reports of emails claiming to be linked to Dursley Town Council or from one of our Town Councillors and they are not.

Recently we have received reports from local community groups/organisations receiving suspicious emails.

Cyber criminals use fake messages as bait to lure people into buying things and giving away sensitive information, such as bank details. They can be very convincing.

If you receive an email which you're not quite sure about, don't click on any links or respond, report it by forwarding it to the National Cyber Security Centre, the email address is report@phishing.gov.uk
