FESTIVE DURSLEY COMMUNITY MEETING - POSTPONED

The Festive Dursley Community Group is hosting an open meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 18th March 2020 at Dursley Community Centre.

This will be a chance to celebrate achievements, find out about 2020 events, volunteer to get involved and plan for the future.

Volunteer Litter Picking

Volunteer Litter Picking

Councillor Peter Hayes led a small group of volunteer litter pickers on Tuesday 4th February. Incredibly they filled 8 bin bags in just two hours.

They cleared litter from Castle Street, The Pulse, Sainsbury's, The Knapp and Rednock Drive. Cllr Hayes will be arranging another volunteer event very soon.

Dursley Town Council's Response to the Closure of Lloyds Bank

Dursley Town Council are extremely disappointed with the news that the Dursley branch of Lloyds Bank is to close in July 2020. This has come as a surprise as there appears to have been no consultation with local organisations, businesses and customers of the branch.

Dursley Town Council have requested that Lloyds Bank reconsider the decision following a proper consultation exercise.

Dursley Town Council Budget 2020/21

Dursley Town Council has set its budget for the coming financial year and will continue to invest in a range of projects to benefit Dursley.

The Mayor, Cllr Neil Grecian said, "we have agreed to a very modest rise in our share of the Council Tax for the following year to allow for inflation and staffing costs".

Cllr Rubin returns to the Town Council after a break of nearly 10 years, replacing former Cllr Suzi Abraham in the Highfields Ward.
