Dursley Town Council co-opted local resident and former Councillor Mr John Rubin to Council at our recent December meeting.
Cllr Rubin returns to the Town Council after a break of nearly 10 years, replacing former Cllr Suzi Abraham in the Highfields Ward.
Cllr Rubin has an interest in the development and welfare of the town; notably its identity, maintenance and economy.

The winners of the 2019 Festive were announced on Friday evening at the annual Festive Dursley Switch On event. The theme for this year's competition was "Winter Wonderland"
The winners were the Hummingbird Café; owner Suzi Abraham is pictured along with Carmen Bleaken and Megan Lovett in the winning window.

This year's annual Festive Dursley Christmas Lights Switch-on Event will take place on FRIDAY 29th NOVEMBER 2019.
ENTERTAINMENT ON THE NIGHT

In addition to the normal Remembrance Sunday parade in the town centre on Sunday 10th November 2019 (schedule listed below) the Town Mayor, Cllr Neil Grecian will be laying a wreath at the World War 2 memorial.
The World War 2 memorial is located at the pavilion on the War Memorial Recreation Ground. The wreath will be laid by the Mayor at 11am on Monday 11th November 2019.

We are pleased to announce that the installation of a Petanque Court at the War Memorial Recreation Ground is complete. The court was officially opened by the Mayor on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.
The facility is free to use and will be run on a turn up and play basis. If required, players can borrow Boules from 'The Pulse' in return for a refundable deposit.
