Play Areas Closed for Maintenance - 2nd/3rd February 2023

The Council will be undertaking routine maintenance and repair work to the safety surfaces within the play park areas at the War Memorial Recreation Ground and at Highfields Play Area. The work is expected to take place during Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd February 2023.

Kingshill Play Park upgrade work to start on 16th January 2023 & more play area investment on the way!

The playground contractor HAGS will be arriving at Kingshill Play Park on 16th January to replace the wooden climbing frame and toddler unit.

The work was agreed at our October 2022 Green Spaces Committee meeting. Unfortunately, the wooden play equipment items have reached the end of their life and need to be removed.

On Sunday 11th September 2022, Residents of Dursley Gathered by the Market Place to Hear the Local Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III

Thank you to everyone who joined the Town Mayor at the Market Place for the reading of the Proclamation of King Charles III on Sunday 11th September.

A large crowd of all ages gathered to be part of this historic event. Following the reading of the proclamation, the crowd sang the national anthem together and gave three cheers for His Majesty the King.

To mark the passing of our late Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth the Second, a ceremony will be held by the Town Hall in the Market Place, Parsonage Street, Dursley, at 5pm on Sunday 11th September 2022.
