Listers Plaque Unveiling Event
The unveiling of a plaque to commemorate R A Lister took place on Saturday 7th April at The Priory in Long Street. The plaque is situated on the former office building of the world renowned engineering firm, founded by Sir Robert Ashton Lister in Dursley during 1867.

Office Closures: April
The Town Council offices will be closed to the public for the Easter Holiday on Friday 30th March and Monday 2nd April.
Please note this will include vehicular access to the cemetery throughout the long weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday), pedestrian access is available as normal on these days.

Kingshill Cemetery – A Plea to Visitors
The Town Council would like to make a plea to all visitors of the Kingshill Cemetery not to move or reset any "laid down" grave memorials.
These memorials have been laid down flat on the ground due to the fact they have become loose or deemed hazardous to the public visiting the Cemetery during routine inspections by Council staff.

Town Centre: Improvements
The Town Council's ground staff over the last few weeks have taken advantage of the wet, cold weather to commence with some much needed maintenance of the street furniture in the town centre.

Winter Weather: Thank You
The Town Council would like to thank all the local residents who cleared snow, spread salt to help make paths and roads more accessible in the recent period of snow and ice.

Dursley Pancake Race 2018: The Results
The 2018 Pancake Race was held earlier today with entrants representing local organisations and businesses taking part.
The final result were:
1st: Steph Hill (Henlow Court)
2nd = Andy Markham (Old Spot), Rebekah Storey-Young (Henlow Court) & Roger Cowley (Dursley Lions)
The children's race was won by Jay Randall-Smith who proved Superman could run faster than a Lion.
