The Town Council's Green Spaces Committee confirmed improvements and new facilities for Highfields Play Area at our meeting on the 19th September 2017.
The Committee approved a new zip wire facility to be installed and important safety improvements to the existing Borneo climbing frame. These improvements are in addition to the revamp of the BMX track and new picnic tables carried out at the beginning... Read More »

The Town Council are pleased to confirm that planning permission for a new public car park has been granted by Stroud District Council.
This permission is a key part of the purchase agreement for the Reliance House plot which can now be completed.
The Town Councillors would like to thank all those who supported our application and highlighted the need for a car-park in the town centre.

It is a golden day for the volunteers of Dursley in Bloom.
At last night's Heart of England award ceremony in Warwick Castle, the Dursley in Bloom not only retained their Gold accreditation, but for the first time were announced as the winners of the Small Town Category.

To coincide with pupils returning to Dursley (C of E) Primary Academy following the summer holidays; the Town Council have funded and installed 30 new speed awareness signs in Highfields.
The designs have been selected from a competition organised by PCSO Josh Griffiths for Year 5 and 6 pupils to design a poster that raises awareness of speeding in the Highfields area.

Grant Funding 2017/18
Each year Dursley Town Council allocates an amount of money to support local organisations that specifically provide services to the residents of Dursley. Requests and applications for funding are welcome from all organisations that operate in the town.
