Improvements to Garden of Rest (Remembrance) Areas at Kingshill Cemetery
Landscape improvement works will start in late November on the existing garden of rest areas (also known as the Garden of Remembrance) in Kingshill Cemetery. It is anticipated that this work will take approximately one week to complete and access to these areas will be restricted during this time. Grant Funding 2019/20 - Reminder to Local Organisations
Each year the Policy and Finance Committee allocates an amount of money to support local organisations who specifically provide services to the residents of Dursley. Requests and applications for funding are welcome from all organisations who operate in the town.
Applications for small and revenue grants are now open. Applications need to be received before 31st August 2020.

Doorstep Selling in Dursley
It has been brought to the attention of the Town Council that some residents have been visited by a person selling educational books. The seller claims to have permission from the Dursley Town Council, this is not the case.
Dursley Town Council would not endorse any type of product in this way and we would never encourage "cold calling" on our residents.

Shops & Businesses Re-opening Today
Dursley Town Council would like to "welcome back" the shops and businesses who are re-opening today and those who have plans in place to re-open over the next few weeks.
The Town Council would ask all residents and visitors to support our local businesses, many who have not been able to trade since March.

Planning Committee - Online
Last night (21st April) saw Dursley Town Council host their first ever "online" meeting.
Following the government's lockdown restrictions to combat the Covid-19 pandemic it was not possible for Town Council to host a public meeting. This resulted in the cancellation of the scheduled meetings in April until last night's Planning Committee meeting.

Dursley Town Council would like to remind all visitors to the War Memorial Recreation Ground, Highfields Play Area and Kingshill Play Area that the play and gym equipment should not be used under any circumstance at the current time.
