The Jacob's House office of Dursley Town Council on Castle Street remains open to the public between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. Due to the size of the office and facilities the office staff are continuing to work from both home and the office.

Non-Essential Retail/Businesses Re-opening Today
Dursley Town Council would once again like to "welcome back" the shops and businesses who are re-opening today after the end of the lockdown period.
The Town Council would ask all residents and visitors to support our local businesses, many who have had to close for significant periods of time over the last 12 months.

Long Street Car Park - Reinstatement of 23 hour waiting limit
In line with the governments "road map" out of lockdown the waiting restrictions at Long Street Car Park will re-commence on Monday 12th April 2021 as our businesses and shops begin to re-open.
Therefore no vehicles will be permitted to park for longer than 23 hours and no vehicle should return within 1 hour of leaving the car park.
Enforcement of the restrictions will commence immediately.

Playgrounds and Gym Equipment to Re-open on 21st December
Dursley Town Council has agreed to re-open the play areas and gym equipment at the War Memorial Recreation Ground, Kingshill and Highfields Play Areas. This includes the BMX track at Highfields.

Dursley - Tier 2 High Alert
Dursley has been placed in Tier 2 of the governments new coronavirus tier arrangements for England from the 2nd December 2020.
This decision will be reviewed every 14 days.
In tier 2:

Covid-19: Office Closed to the Public
Dursley Town Council have taken the decision to close the office to the public for the remaining duration of the current lockdown.
This decision has been taken in response to the high Covid-19 infection rate in the Dursley area and to protect both staff and visitors to our Jacob's House office.

Long Street Car Park - Temporary Removal of Restrictions
Dursley Town Council and our car park management company, District Enforcement Ltd have agreed to temporarily waive the 23 hour time limit in the Long Street Car Park for the duration of the lockdown period.
This temporary removal of the maximum waiting time will remove the need for local residents who were leaving their homes to move their vehicles contravening the government guidance to stay at home.... Read More »

Covid 19 - The Use of Play Equipment (UPDATE)
Dursley Town Council have received further guidance from government on the the access to play and leisure facilities during the lockdown and have taken the decision to close the play areas with immediate effect.
This includes all play equipment located at the War Memorial Recreation Ground (WMRG), Highfields Play Area and Kingshill Play Area.
