Temporary Closure of Pyke Quarry Household Recycling Centre, Horsley
Gloucestershire County Council have informed the Town Council that Pyke Quarry Household Recycling Centre, near Horsley, will be temporarily closed from Monday June 4 to Friday 22 June inclusive. During the closure, the county council will be carrying out important improvement work at the site.

New Grit Bins
At the most recent meeting of the Town Improvements Committee meeting the Councillors agreed to purchase three new grit bins for the town.
The new locations have been approved by Amey, who are the highways contractor appointed by Gloucestershire County Council. GCC/Amey will only supply the grit for new grit bins if they meet the criteria.

Dursley Town Council have been notified by Gloucestershire County Council of two road closures in Dursley for water main connections.
Highfields Approach (outside No. 13) will be closed from the 9th to the 11th August.
Drake Lane is to be closed between Spring Hill and Long Street from the 14th August to the 16th August.

Kingshill Road: Road Closure Update
A4135 Kingshill Road/Blackboys Roundabout, Dursley
Amey Gloucestershire will shortly be undertaking carriageway resurfacing works at the above location. The work is programmed to take place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December.

Changes to Bus Services in Dursley
The Town Council have been informed that Gloucestershire County Council are making changes to some bus services in the Stroud and Dursley area from 4th September to enable people to access essential services.
GCC and Stagecoach will be hosting an event at Sainsbury's in Dursley on the 15th August between 5pm and 7pm to talk to local people and let them know about the changes that may affect them.
