The Nominations for the 2017 awards to be announced at the town's Annual Assembly on the 23rd May 2017 are now OPEN.
The Leslie D Gale Award was instituted in 1994, as a tribute to the late Mr Gale, who was the last Chairman of Dursley Parish Council and the first Mayor of Dursley, and who served the community in so many ways. The third presentation of the 2016 Leslie D Gale awards was made by Mayor Grecian this morning to Emma Irvine at the busy Tab Café, held in the Tabernacle Church.
Emma volunteers for many groups within the town including the Tabernacle Youth, Cam and Dursley Youth Forum, the local scout group and is a school governor at Cam Woodfields.

Keith Thompson, who works for Veolia, to maintain the Town's streets, was presented with the new Leslie D Gale Unsung Hero award for "outstanding service to the community of Dursley" earlier today by town mayor Neil Grecian.

A successful 2016 Annual Assembly was held last night in the Community Centre, chaired by our new Mayor; Cllr Neil Grecian.
