Leslie D Gale Awards 2019
This afternoon our Deputy Mayor, Cllr Mandy Woodward presented Leslie D Gale "Unsung Hero" awards to Doris Holbrook and Gwyneth Peglar.
Doris and Gwen have been nominated for running the Friendship Club which meets each month in the Parish Centre over the last 17 years. They provide entertainment, a hot drink, chat and most importantly friendship for those who attend.

The Leslie D Gale Award for service to the community, first awarded in 1994, was presented to Mike Doughty and David Durden.

Dursley Town Council would like to thank all of the local residents who attended last nights Annual Assembly with over 60 people in attendance. This was a greater attendance than recent years and apologies for those who had to stand during the meeting.

Annual Assembly 2018
The Annual Assembly meeting was held last night in the Chantry Centre. The meeting was chaired by the Town Mayor, Cllr Neil Grecian who opened the meeting and welcomed those in attendance.

Since the announcements of the 2017 Leslie D Gale awards at this year's Annual Assembly the Mayor, Cllr Neil Grecian has been busy presenting the awards.
On Wednesday 31st May, Neil presented the family of Cllr Brian Marsh with his posthumous award and at the Dursley in Bloom Committee meeting on Monday 5th June, Ronnie Harding was presented with her "unsung hero" award.
