The demolition of Reliance House has reached week two and progress is now quite noticeable. Most of week one was limited to works to the inside of the building with asbestos being safely removed from site and the building being stripped of any reusable materials.

The next phase of our car park project in Long Street will commence next week with the demolition works starting on Monday 2nd July 2018.
The Town Council have appointed Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd as the demolition contractor for the above site who envisage the work will take no longer than 4 weeks and aim to complete the work with as little disruption as possible.

The Town Council has been notified earlier today (Friday) by St Modwen Homes that the planned closure of Long Street has been cancelled.
The Road Closure had been advertised to begin on 4th June for twelve weeks to allow for road realignment works to be completed.
