Planning Meeting Cancelled
The Planning Committee meeting scheduled for this evening (Tuesday 17th September) has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The meeting will now take place at 18:30 on Tuesday 24th September 2019 and will be held in the meeting room located at the Methodist Church in Castle Street.

War Memorial Recreation Ground: Fire Damage to Council Property
Over the weekend of 17th and 18th August 2019, two litter bins in the War Memorial Recreation Ground playground were deliberately set on fire and destroyed.
The incident on Saturday 17th August occurred between the hours of 19:50-21:00 and the incident on Sunday 18th August occurred between 19:05-20:00.

Play Ranger activities take place outdoors in all weather and are open access. This means there is no registration, children are free to come and go as they please.
The last Dursley session takes place on Thursday 15th August at Highfields Play Area.

Three New Dursley Town Councillors
At the meeting of Dursley Town Council on Tuesday 6th August, three new residents were co-opted onto Council filling all the vacant Town Councillor positions.
Local residents, Kate Reynolds, Joanne Smee and Denver Thirwell were unanimously voted onto Council by the existing Town Councillors.

Each year Dursley Town Council allocates an amount of money to support local organisations who specifically provide services to the residents of Dursley. Requests and applications for funding are welcome from all organisations who operate in the town.

Roundabout Cat - Memorial Plaque
Dursley Town Council was recently contacted by a local resident who had raised money from the local community to commemorate a local celebrity "Roundabout Cat" aka Ginger who sadly had died a few weeks ago.
Ginger was regularly seen crossing the roundabout at the Bull Pitch/Woodmancote junction.
