Long Street Car Park
At the Car Park Committee on 26th March 2019 the Councillors agreed that the new car park will be called the Long Street Car Park. This new car park will be free to use and is considered a long stay facility with a maximum waiting time of 23 hours in a 24-hour period. The 2019 Pancake Race was held earlier today with entrants representing local organisations and businesses taking part.

Dursley Town Council – Authorised to Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for Dog Fouling
The Town Council are pleased to confirm that under the jurisdiction of Stroud District Council the Council's grounds staff are now fully trained and authorised to issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN's) for dog fouling offences.

Annual Pancake Race: Tuesday 5th March 2019
Dursley's annual Pancake Race is held on Shrove Tuesday each year. The race is traditionally held in Parsonage Street at 12 noon. Depending on the number of runners who have entered, "heats" are held with the fastest runners qualifying for the grand final.
In February 2010, Dursley Town Council resolved to resurrect the annual Pancake Race, and to provide a trophy for the winner.

The first real snow of the winter is with us this morning, treated roads are passable with care, but we are experiencing problems with estate roads and other non-gritted routes. Long Street has been closed by the police.

Road Closure: Long Street, Dursley
The Town Council has been informed that a 200m section of Long Street will be closed to through traffic between Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th January 2019.
This is to allow for resurfacing the new road layout between the new (Victoria Street) junction and the entrance to the Littlecombe housing estate.
Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained.
