The Vibe Youth Centre

Following the Vibe opening its doors in January 2016, the Town Council appointed The Door Youth Project as our youth service provider for two years with the Vibe hosting four funded sessions per week.

In the period September to December 2015, we have recorded 147 young people attending at least one session at the Vibe. Friday nights are the most popular session, averaging between 30-45 young people. Indeed partly due to the success, Friday sessions have been split to be assessable to specific age groups at certain times e.g. Friday afternoons 11-13's and Friday evenings 14+.

The Door Youth Project have also provided us with Employment & Education sessions and Parent Support coffee mornings; which have been funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire.

In addition to this other providers/sessions currently being offered are:

Teens in Crisis – one to one support meetings
ConnectAT – Youth evenings
Tabernacle Church – Youth Sessions & Christian courses.
Hope Trust - support young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness
Turning Point - focus on improving lives and communities across mental health, learning disability, substance misuse, primary care, the criminal justice system and employment
Prospects- wide range of education, employment and skills services.

We have also had a number of one-off hire's including hosting our MP Neil Carmichael's constituent surgery.
